01Sound familiar?

The faults we get called out for every week

These are symptoms, not the problem. Don't keep resetting and hoping — we find the cause.

Safety switch keeps tripping

A circuit or appliance is leaking current. We isolate which one — and why.

Lights flickering or dimming

Often a loose connection or overloaded circuit — a small sign of a bigger cause.

Dead power points

One outlet or a whole room without power — we trace it back to the fault.

Burning smell or buzzing

Switch the circuit off and call us — these always warrant same-day attention.

Nuisance trips at night

Fridge? Hot water? Ageing insulation? We test rather than guess.

It only happens sometimes

Intermittent faults are our specialty — diagnosed methodically, not by parts-swapping.

02Our process

Diagnosed, not guessed

Listen & inspect

What you've noticed, when it happens, what's changed — then we inspect the board and circuits.

Test & isolate

Proper test instruments, not guesswork: we isolate the circuit, then the exact point where the fault lives.

Explain & price

You'll know what we found, why it happened, and the fixed price to repair it — before any work starts.

Fix, prove & tidy

We repair it, test under load to prove it's solved, and leave the place as tidy as we found it.

05FAQ

Fault finding questions

Is a safety switch that keeps tripping dangerous?
The switch itself is doing its job — but repeated tripping means it's detecting a real problem, usually a faulty appliance or deteriorating wiring. It needs to be found, not reset and ignored.
Can't I just reset it and keep going?
You can reset once. If it trips again, stop — repeatedly resetting over a genuine fault can damage wiring and appliances, and at worst become a fire or shock risk.
How much does fault finding cost?
We quote our diagnosis call-out upfront before we book you in. Once we've found the cause, you get a fixed price for the repair — approved by you before any work starts.
Can you fix the fault on the same visit?
Usually, yes — the van carries the common culprits: safety switches, breakers, power points and light fittings. If a part needs ordering, we make everything safe and return to finish.
What if the fault only happens sometimes?
Intermittent faults are our specialty. We test circuits under load and check connections methodically rather than swapping parts and hoping.
Are you licensed and insured?
Fully. Every job is completed by a licensed electrician to AS/NZS 3000 wiring standards, and we're fully insured.
