01What we connect

Kitchen and laundry appliances, wired in properly

Hard-wired appliances legally need a licensed electrician — and everything works better installed properly.

Ovens

Wall ovens and freestanding stoves hard-wired to the right circuit with correct isolation — tested under load before we leave.

Cooktops

Induction and ceramic cooktops often draw more than the unit they replace — we check the circuit and cable size before connecting.

Rangehoods

Ducted and recirculating rangehoods wired in neatly, with the switch somewhere you can actually reach.

Dishwashers

Connected safely with correct isolation — and a dedicated circuit where the kitchen needs one.

Dryers

Heat-pump, condenser and vented dryers connected and checked — stacked or side by side.

Dedicated appliance circuits

New circuits run from the switchboard with safety-switch protection, so a big appliance never overloads what is already there.

05FAQ

Appliance installation questions

Do I need an electrician to install an oven or cooktop?
If the appliance is hard-wired — most ovens, cooktops and many rangehoods are — the connection must be made by a licensed electrician in NSW. Plug-in appliances can go into an existing socket, but adding a new socket or a new circuit is electrical work too. Send us the make and model and we will confirm exactly what your unit needs before we arrive.
Will a new induction cooktop work with my existing wiring?
Not always. Induction cooktops often draw considerably more current than the ceramic or gas unit they replace, so the existing cable and circuit breaker can be undersized. We check the rating plate against the circuit before connecting — if the cable needs upsizing, it appears in the written quote, not as a surprise after switch-on.
What is a dedicated appliance circuit, and when do I need one?
A dedicated circuit runs from the switchboard to a single appliance with its own protection. High-draw appliances like ovens, induction cooktops and some dryers either require one or run far better on one — sharing a general power circuit is a common cause of nuisance tripping. We check your switchboard has the capacity before we quote.
Can you install the new appliance the same day the old one comes out?
Usually, yes. If you send the make and model plus a photo of the space when you book, we confirm the circuit is suitable in advance, then disconnect the old unit, connect the new one and test it under load in a single visit.
Do you test the appliance after installation?
Every time. Hard-wired appliances are tested under load and their protection is verified before we leave, and the electrical work comes with the required compliance documentation.
Can you disconnect and remove the old appliance?
Yes — mention it when you book and we will disconnect the old unit safely and take it away if you like, so the whole swap happens in one visit.
