The M and the J
M&J Electrical Works is a family-owned electrical business run by Mike and Jen. When you invite someone into your home, you should know exactly who you're dealing with — so here we are.
01 — Who we are
A family business, not a franchise
Mike is the electrician. Jen runs everything around him. Between them, that covers the two things people actually want from a trade: the work done properly, and someone who answers the phone.
Mike came up through residential and maintenance work — the jobs where you're in someone's home, often with the power off and a family waiting. That shapes how you work. You explain what you've found. You keep the mess contained. You don't disappear mid-job to chase a bigger one.
Jen handles the quoting, scheduling and the follow-up. If you send an enquiry through this website, she's the one who reads it. That's deliberate — most of the frustration people describe with tradespeople isn't the workmanship, it's the silence in between.
We've stayed deliberately small and local. We work across Western and South-Western Sydney, and we'd rather be the electricians a few thousand households keep calling back than a name on a hundred vans.

We tell you what's actually wrong
In plain English, with the reasoning. If a cheaper fix will hold, we'll say so. If it won't, we'll tell you that too.
We turn up when we said we would
And if something runs over, you get a call rather than a window that quietly expires.
We leave it cleaner than we found it
Drop sheets, vacuum, offcuts taken with us. Nobody should be cleaning up after a tradesperson.

NSW Electrical Contractor Licence 359722C, fully insured, and a certificate of compliance issued for every job that needs one.
