05FAQ
Common electrical questions in Blacktown
Do you travel to Blacktown?
Yes, for booked work. Blacktown 2148 is the northern edge of our service area and a longer run than our Liverpool and Fairfield heartland, so we schedule it properly. Tell us what the job is and we will give you a time.
My Blacktown home is from the 1960s. What usually needs doing?
The switchboard, almost every time. Homes from that era were built long before RCD safety switches were required, and the board is usually full, unlabelled and carrying far more than it was designed for.
Will I need a full rewire?
Usually not. We test the existing circuits rather than assuming, and most homes of this vintage only need a modern board with RCBO protection on every circuit, plus perhaps an extra circuit or two.
Do you do commercial work in Blacktown?
Yes. Shop and tenancy lighting, extra power, exhaust and test-and-tag for local businesses are all within our commercial services.
Which council covers Blacktown?
Blacktown is in the City of Blacktown LGA. Our NSW electrical contractor licence 359722C covers work anywhere in New South Wales.
